While
watching The Way I could not help but
think about my own life and experiences. I am currently a senior and will be
graduating very soon. Thomas was aware that he was walking the Camino but he did
not realize that he was on a journey until he was near the end of it. In
reflecting on my four years at CNU, I have realized how much I have changed and
how much this institution is meant to change people. Of course, students are
supposed to become well-versed in their field of study but it is about much
more than gaining factual knowledge. There are thousands of students around the
same age who all have similar goals: to get a degree. However, being impacted
by the campus community is unavoidable. The friendships and discussions that
exist because of this system impact a person both mentally and spiritually. I
feel overcome will happiness and sadness just as Thomas because one journey is
ending and another is beginning.
