Although we didn’t watch the whole film of Paris, Texas what
I did see was definitely intriguing. What stood out a lot to me were the
visuals within the film. The filming was absolutely beautiful – from the
landscapes, to the colors, to rawness of facial expression. The mountains were
a beautiful touch, as well as the sandy desert scenes. The scene with all the
shoes was vivid and took hold of the viewer. However, above all these scenes my
favorites were the ones when he is talking to his wife behind the glass. This
may sound weird, but I loved her face. I loved how those scenes were filmed and
how her emotions were portrayed through the combination of her facial expression
and how she was filmed. Raw emotion was expressed and I thought it was
incredibly beautiful. That alone would have made me want to watch this film.
