Stephanie Colb - Northfork

I found the film Northfork interesting in many ways.  The message was displayed clearly; however, there were various underlying themes and ideas as well.  The filmography was used in a way to help the audience successfully analyze and connect important aspects in the film.  One thing that stuck out to me was the little boy.  He was a sick orphan with no family or friends, except the priest, who cared for him and spent time with him.  Most individuals would try to take in a child when in need, but because of the issues in Northfork's society, people were being selfish and only thinking about their own safety and well being.  The priest caring for the boy and looking over him in his times of need reminded me of the way God does for us.  We always have him looking over us and protecting us, just as the preist did for the child.  The priest was very protective of the boy and considered him to be his own son, again, resembling the relationship held in the Christian religion.  I enoyed this film and found it to be interesting and easy to follow.
